Neighborhood residents hold sales on their property, and throughout the years the crowd has grown to about 20,000 shoppers! The sale starts Saturday, August 25 at 8:00 a.m. and runs until 3:00 p.m. so come early to get parking at ETSU and along W. Walnut Street or wherever parking is legally allowed.
Take an occasional break from shopping to get some food and refreshments at several restaurants on W. Walnut Street. Wear comfortable walking shoes so you can check out all the sales -- over 100!! There will be a Porta-John at Veterans Park at Southwest Avenue and Divine Street, in front of South Side Elementary School.
The sale area is bounded by W. Walnut Street, University Parkway and South Roan Street. For more information call 926-5537 or 926-7185.
